Pediatrics

The Department of Pediatrics is concerned with the healthcare of the developing infant, child and adolescent. We believe all children are important and deserve the best. We strive to provide a friendly environment, professional staff, and quality healthcare with an emphasis on current evidence-based medicine for patients birth to 21 years of age. Most of all, we wish to provide a positive experience for you and your child. Our commitment is to treat each child and family with respect and to provide quality healthcare with expert, personalized service. Our philosophy is to treat your children as our own and provide a patient centered medical home.

The department is involved in many phases of primary pediatric care both locally and throughout the state. We have specialists in pediatric infectious disease and genetics as well as pediatricians with special interest in sports medicine, ADHD, asthma, adolescent medicine, substance abuse, and chronic disease which have broadened the scope of the department. Faculty members are involved in scholarly and research activities which can provide opportunities for students and residents to participate in these areas.

Our physicians are board certified in pediatrics and as professors not only provide comprehensive patient care but are actively involved in the teaching of medical students in clinics and the hospital setting. Our faculty are physicians, educators, administrators and researchers and are actively involved in community outreach on children’s issues.

Meet the Department of Pediatrics team.
