Golf for a Reason

It was a fun day for participants at the Second Annual Student Osteopathic Association for Sports Medicine (SOASM) Golf Outing which was held at Groesbeck Municipal Golf Course in Lansing, Michigan.

"We had a real pleasant weather, and the entire golf course to play for the day," said Stephanie Betts, second year student and main coordinator of the event.

"We had prizes for various categories such as best and worst dressed, closest to the pin, longest drive (male and female), longest putt, best team, second place team, worst team and many others. We want all our participants to enjoy the event and come back next year," stated Stephanie.

The golf outing is an annual fund-raising event for SOASM. "The funds we raise from the event are used for various events later in the year such as guest lecturers. We also make it a point to donate part of the proceeds to a charity fund,” said Nosh Amaria, second year student and the co-coordinator of the event.
