The students of MSUCOM pulled off another big success at
the 9th Annual Charity Raffle and Roaring '20s Dance, sponsored by
the Michigan Osteopathic Association. The event was held on Friday, February
7, 2003 at Hawk Hollow Clubhouse in Bath, Michigan. Nearly 100 faculty,
staff, students and guests attended the Roaring '20s Dance, most of
them
dressed in the fashion of the Great Gatsby era. The guests enjoyed
music, entertainment, dance lessons, and appetizers.
This year's event raised over $8,000.00, of which $5,000.00
was donated to this year's selected charity -- Eve's
House. Ms. Susan Shoultz, executive director of Eve's House accepted
the money at the March 10 Student Council meeting. Eve's House, which
was founded as Council Against Domestic

Assault (CADA) 25 years ago,
provides shelter and supportive services for the victims of domestic
violence in the community,
while seeking to end domestic violence through pubic awareness
and community education. Eve's House services are dependent upon
the help of volunteers, donations, and the support of area business
and organizations.
The rest of the proceeds from the event go to the MSUCOM
Student Council, which hosted the event as their yearly fundraiser.

sold by Emily Reamer, COM '05.)
2nd Prize, One Round-Trip Airline Ticket (Continental U.S.): Gary
Inwald, D.O., New York , NY, COM '76.
The top two raffle ticket sellers were: Aimee Tow, COM '06 (92 tickets)
and Nate Brady, COM '05 (78 tickets). Each received a $100.00 prize.
And a big thank you to all the alumni, faculty, clinical faculty, staff,
and students who purchased raffle tickets.
