Public Relations
The Office of Public Relations is entrusted with promoting the distinctive identity of both the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the osteopathic profession. Through a variety of print and electronic-based media, the office champions the college’s mission, its priorities, and the important work of its faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Three times a year the Office publishes Communiqué, the official magazine for the college and its alumni, with contributions from the Michigan Osteopathic College Foundation. The office also designs and maintains professional web pages for the college and works closely with the Graphic Services Unit in providing design and photography for the creation of college promotional material. College faculty and staff frequently use graphic services for their scholarly and professional presentations. The Office of Public Relations is responsible for much of the college’s administrative writing and editing, including college proposals and presentations, documents for the university’s provost and president, and reports to Michigan’s governor. The office’s News Bureau serves as a resource for media seeking medical experts, and it also maintains a web page that reports on college events.
