Girl Scout Troop #2294 Donates Shoes to Heart and Sole

Hundreds of pairs of shoes are heading out to needy people across the world thanks to the efforts of one girl scout troop.

"One of the mothers found MSUCOM's Heart and Sole web page," said Chris Weak, one of the leaders of the troop.

"We gave the girls a list of community work they could do and they chose collecting shoes."

Throughout the month of March, the Girl Scouts, together with their parents and teachers, gathered up shoes for from across the community. They were surprised the find how many they had
collected . . . 320.

"We have exceptional girls, " said Weak. "They have a lot of energy and really dived into this project."
