MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine
May 2006
  • Bob Stephenson, PhD, Associate Professor of Physiology, Connie Osborn, PhD, Associate Professor of Radiology, and Geraud Plantegenest, Human Medicine Dean Information Technician, received a first-place SBC award in the blended course category (combination in-person/on-line course) for PSL 534/535 (Physiology).  The award, presented by MSU Libraries, Computing, and Technology, recognizes best practices in the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning..

  • Dale Carlson, MM, Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, was the 49th inductee into the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators (AODME) Collegium of Fellows.  This honor is given in recognition of long and meritorious service to AODME and the osteopathic profession, primarily for supporting AODME  by attendance, with committee service, and in program participation; and secondarily through support of the osteopathic profession while active in a medical specialty area or a professional career related to osteopathic medicine and medical education outside of the AODME.

  • Sandy Kilbourn, Executive Director of External Programs, was honored by the university with an Excellence in Diversity Award on April 13.

  • Congratulations to the newly elected MSUCOM Student Council officers for the 2006-2007 school year:  President – Jennifer Louissa, Vice-President – Rob Baumstark, Secretary – Joanna Lee, Treasurer – Cay Guido.
