Convocation 2008

Students, faculty and staff gathered at the Wharton Center on June 27 for the 38th Annual Convocation and White Coat Ceremony. This annual tradition recognizes the incoming Class of 2012's entrance into medical school and becoming a part of the osteopathic profession.

Dean William Strampel, D.O., Craig Magnatta, D.O., president  of the Michigan Osteopathic Association, and Adam Hunt, president of MSUCOM student council, each gave welcoming addresses to the entering class.

During the ceremony, 16 new members of the Scholars program, entering undergraduates to MSU who to enter the field of medicine, were recognized as well.
