WIETING AWARDED MICHIGAN OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION PRESIDENTIAL CITATION

Dearborn, Michigan— J. Michael Wieting, D.O., of Holt, received a Presidential Citation from the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) in recognition of his two years of service on the MOA Board of Trustees.  He received the citation at the MOA House of Delegates meeting on May 9, held in conjunction with the Mao’s 108th Annual Postgraduate Convention and Scientific Seminar at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan. 

“The MOA wanted to acknowledge and thank Dr. Wieting for the two years he gave of his time and his leadership in service to the MOA Board of Trustees.  This MOA Presidential Citation is formal recognition of his commitment to the osteopathic profession,” said John Odell, D.O., 2006\2007 MOA President.

Dr. Wieting received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and he is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a certificate of added qualifications in Occupational Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Preventive Medicine. 

Dr. Wieting is leaving the MOA Board to begin a new position as professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation and occupational medicine at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.  He will continue his faculty appointment as Clinical Professor at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences as well.
