May 16, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SIKORSKI AWARDED MICHIGAN OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION PRESIDENTIAL CITATION Dearborn, Michigan— Mark Sikorski, D.O., FACOFP, of Shelby Township, received a Presidential Citation from the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) in recognition of his six years of service on the MOA Board of Trustees. He received the citation at the MOA House of Delegates meeting on May 9, held in conjunction with the MOA’s 108th Annual Postgraduate Convention and Scientific Seminar at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan. “The MOA wanted to acknowledge and thank Dr. Sikorski for the six years he gave of his time and his leadership in service to the MOA Board of Trustees. This MOA Presidential Citation is formal recognition of his commitment to the osteopathic profession,” said John Bodell, D.O., 2006\2007 MOA President. “It is with great honor and pride that I had the opportunity to represent Macomb County D.O.s on the MOA Board, and fight for the betterment of health care in Macomb and the State of Michigan,” said Dr. Sikorski. Dr. Sikorski received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) and is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Currently, Dr. Sikorski is in a private group practice, serving as president of Farmbrooke Family Medicine in Macomb. In addition, he is a member of the Department of Family Medicine for Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mt. Clemens, St. Joseph’s Hospital - Macomb and St. John’s Hospital – Macomb. In addition to his position as MOA trustee, Dr. Sikorski is a member and past president of the Macomb County Osteopathic Medical Association, a member and past president of the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians, serves as vice speaker to the Congress of Delegates for the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and has represented Michigan in serving both as a delegate and on many committees to the American Osteopathic Association. The Michigan Osteopathic Association represents more than 7,000 osteopathic physicians and students and promotes osteopathic medicine in Michigan by shaping the health care delivery system to better serve the community.
