Dean Emeritus to Receive Honorary MSU Degree

The College of Osteopathic Medicine's founding dean Myron Magen, D.O., will receive an honorary degree at Michigan State University's commencement ceremonies on Friday, December 10.

Dr. Magen who was instrumental in the creation of the osteopathic college, helped bring the school to the Michigan State campus and served as dean for twenty five years before retiring in 1991. He will receive an honorary doctor of science at the advanced degree ceremony at 7 p.m. at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center.
