Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Celebrates with an Open House

October 31, 2000

The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic, the outpatient clinic for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, celebrated National Physical Therapy Month and Brain Injury Awareness Month with an open house at the MSU Clinical Center that featured screenings for balance, flexibility, anxiety, attention and depression. Also on display was information about Origami, the department’s residential and day-treatment brain injury rehabilitation center, located in Mason. Physicians, therapists and managers were on hand to provide tours and information.

"Building awareness of the types of services the Clinic offers is key in helping the community obtain rehabilitation that is appropriate for each individual’s needs," says Lisa Kennedy, M.A., Patient Care Coordinator. "This clinic offers PT, OT, Speech, Psychology and Physiatric services, often times coordinated to give the patient optimal outcomes." For more information, call Lisa at 432.7736.
