National Osteopathic Medicine Week

November 2000

Friday, November 17

Luncheon Lecture with Dr. Edward Conley, DO: From the Olympics to PBS

As part of our "Campus Days" series for National Osteopathic Week, the College of Osteopathic Medicine will welcome Dr. Edward Conley, DO, to the college on Friday, November 17th at noon in Room E105. Dr. Conley, Class of 1982, will discuss both the treatment of chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia and, on a more personal note, his fascinating career as a DO.

Dr. Conley, whose practice is based in Flint, started as a family practitioner before becoming a sports medicine physician at the US Olympic Training Camp in Lake Placid and eventually hosting a nationally-televised PBS special. Based on his own experiences and using his own good-natured humor, Dr. Conley will share with the audience his perspective on physicians marketing themselves through newspapers, radio, and television.

12:00 noon – 1:00 pm

E105 Fee Hall (lunch served in E 106)
