The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine scored highest
among all osteopathic colleges in positive matches in the American Osteopathic
Association Internship Registration Program for the Class of 2000. Fully
96.3 percent of MSUCOM soon-to-be graduates in the class received matches --
all of the students who participated in the program. The 3.7 percent of the
class not matched represented four persons who did not participate.
Nationally of 2479 students (2440 this year's graduates), 1362 (54.9 percent)
matched, 123 (5 percent) did not match, 994 (40.1 percent) did not participate,
and 48 (included in the total match figures) received military appointments.
