FCM'S DOR and Students Provide Glucose Screening At Women's Expo

EAST LANSING - MSUCOM students along with the Division of Research in the Department of Family and Community Medicine provided on-site glucose screening for 833 people who attended Lansing's 2003 Women Expo on February 8-9 at the Lansing Center.

The annual Lansing event was attended by some 13,500 people, according to the Lansing State Journal. The division will be able to use the survey information collected in future scholarly activities regarding diabetes screening.

The event also provided MSUCOM students with an opportunity to gain more hands-on voluntary experience with people in the community.
