Diversity Education Series

Pictured, left to right: Rachel Crandall, Carrie Tune-Copeland and C.J. Tune-Copeland.

The Diversity Education Series returned on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, with the presentation, "Working with Transgendered Clients." The talk will be delivered by Rachel Crandall, M.S.W., A.C.S.W., executive director of Transgender Michigan and adjunct faculty member at the MSU School of Social Work. She was joined by Carrie and C.J. Tune-Copeland, both members of the board of directors of Transgender Michigan.

This Diversity Education Series is a project which brings noted speakers to the college to discuss race, gender, religion and other cultural issues. The selection of speakers and topics is based on surveys of MSUCOM students, that have determined the areas of greatest interest to them as they prepare for careers in medicine.
