While many people are out looking for the perfect gift and eagerly awaiting
what St. Nick may have in store for us, several groups of MSUCOM students put
on the elves' hats to help out those who struggle with providing themselves
with the essentials.
When Sigma Sigma Phi announced they were collecting coats to donate to those
in need, they didn't quite realize how quickly their large box would fill up
with coats of all sorts of styles and sizes. The team had to regularly empty
out the box of coats which were sent to Volunteers of America and to Pine
Ridge Indian Reservation.

SNOPS has shown that these future neurologists come with big hearts as they
collected small and large toys for the Marine's annual "Toys for Tots" campaign
which focuses on providing gifts to children whose families can not afford
to give them.
Framed photographs, canvas paintings and more awaited attendees to PHR's annual
art fundraiser. Students, faculty, staff and their family and friends competed
in a silent auction, placing bids on various artworks to raise money for Friendship
clinic, a free clinic which provides basic medical care for the uninsured in
the Lansing area. Over $4,000 was raised through the event, and a lot of eager
participants left with artistic momentos of their generosity
