The
Michigan Osteopathic Association and the Michigan State University College
of Osteopathic Medicine sponsored the annual Capitol House Call on Tuesday,
March 30. Members of the osteopathic community traveled to the Capitol
in Lansing, and met with state legislators to discuss current issues
in the medical community.
The
event provides a unique opportunity to talk to lawmakers about issues
that affect the osteopathic profession, like Medicare. It also gives
state senators and representatives to learn more about osteopathic
medicine. Many D.O.s and other advocates participated as well as several
students from MSUCOM.
