MSUCOM Students' Health Screening

Headliner of CATA Rush Hour Health Fair 2000 were screenings
being conducted by MSUCOM students and faculty, who have received top
billing at Capital Area Transportation Authority's Rush Hour Health Fair
2000.
The college personnel conducted free glucose, cholesterol,
blood pressure and heart rate checks for CATA riders, employees and the
public.
The screenings were held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 3:30
to 5:30 p.m.Wednesday, April 12, at the CATA Transportation Center, 420
S. Grand River,Lansing.
MSUCOM students Patricia Florence and Chris Pohlod, who were
the principal organizers of the effort, were interviewed at 7 a.m. Monday
by Chris Holman on WJIM radio regarding the event.
Activities by other organizations at the fair include a diabetic
foot screening, bone density screenings, massage therapy, health and and
vision testing.
