that are MSUCOM's highest priorities for funding. It is just a sampling of
the many ways that donors can make an impact on osteopathic education.
• Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship
(Allocation Code: AS009)¹
The MSUCOM Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship
was established to provide MSUCOM students with financial assistance
through contributions from the college’s
alumni.
• Robert C. Ward, D.O., Residency in Osteopathic Manipulative
Medicine Endowment
(Allocation Code: AS043)¹
Established
by Robert C. Ward, D.O. this endowed fund provides support for a residency
in osteopathic manipulative medicine.
• Malawi Project
(Allocation Code: AS252)¹
Supports
the work and research of Terry Taylor, D.O., PhD. in Malawi Africa. Dr.
Taylor is known world wide for her research on cerebral malaria.
• OsteoCHAMPS
(Allocation Code: AS00462)¹
This two
week pre-college enrichment program targets disadvantaged high school juniors
and senior. Students come to campus to take a variety of courses
including anatomy, writing, math as well as attend seminars which will help
them to apply for undergraduate school as well as medical school.
• Michigan Osteopathic College Foundation Scholarship Fund
(Allocation Code: AS00454)¹
This MSUCOM
endowment was established by the Michigan Osteopathic College Foundation
to support activities including student scholarships, research, the OMM Student
Clinic and the Clinical Faculty System.
• Medical Scientist Training Program
(Allocation Code: AS2800)¹
Michigan
State University College of Osteopathic Medicine offers a combined degree
program leading to the D.O. and Ph.D. degrees for highly motivated students
who have achieved excellence in research and academics. The purpose of this
program is to prepare these select students for careers in biomedical research
or academic medicine.
• Dean's Fund for Greatest Need
(Allocation Code: AS00)¹
Used
for special projects and new opportunities, this account gives the dean discretion
to respond to the areas of greatest need.
