Dear MSUCOM Faculty and Staff,

Thank you for your interest in donating your 2009/2010 salary increase to support the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Your generosity builds on MSU’s strong tradition of philanthropic support from faculty and staff.  More than 130 administrators, deans, faculty and support staff have already made this extra commitment adding half a million dollars in support.

Your support is also tangible evidence to the commitment to excellence we have within our college.  External audiences are more likely to financially support programs that have a high level of internal support from their faculty and staff.  We are the ones closest to our programs, and if we believe in their quality enough to give back, then so will many others not directly connected to MSUCOM.

Attached is a link to a pledge form, which is required to formalize your commitment.  On the form you will notice that you have several choices regarding how to make a gift, including as a lump some or through payroll deduct.  By default, if you have no preference, your gift will be directed to the MSUCOM Unrestricted Fund.  However, if you wish to give to another area within the college, please list this on the pledge form.  Also listed are allocation codes to departmental unrestricted funds and the general scholarship fund.  You can complete your pledge immediately or, if you wish wait until your raise is formalized; however we ask that you return this form no later than November 13, 2009.  If you have any questions regarding the mechanics of making your gift, please contact me at 517-355-8355,
