SUMMER 2016 COMMUNIQU 19 M S U C O M A L U M N I N E T W O R K M S U C O M A L U M N I Faculty included left to right Mukherji Acquino DeStefano Link Ward Amaltano Strampel Brennan and Gilpin THE BEST SELF-CARE FOR PHYSICIANS MSUCOMS CME SEMINAR AND WORLD-CLASS BEACHES With 52 physicians taking the continuing medical education course and 96 persons on the trip MSUCOMs annual Healthy Lifestyles and Preventive Medicine seminar March 5-12 in Palm Beach Aruba was the largest one yet. With 20 hours of CME presentations by MSUCOM alumni and faculty families enjoyed beachcombing snorkeling tennis shopping magnicent sunsets and fabulous restaurants. Dean William Strampel hosted a special deans dinner at the Bugaloe Beach Bar and Grill. Featured speakers for the program included alumni Andrea Amaltano 90 co-chair Annette Aquino 00 Michael Brennan 06 Lisa DeStefano 93 Nicholas Gilpin 06 Chad Link 03 and Jayne Ward 96 co-chair. Others were John Barnas from the Michigan Center for Rural Health and Suresh Mukherji of MSUs Department of Radiology.The Healthy Lifestyles and Preventive Medicine program was the largest yet with 96 persons going to Palm Beach Aruba.
