Welcome to External Programs

External Programs is dedicated to serving the needs of MSUCOM students, alumni and the surrounding community through the development of a myriad of programs and services which foster communication, cultural compentency, continuing medical education and building relationships with all MSUCOM alumni and friends.

Units within External Programs:

Alumni Programs

Develops, promotes, implements and evaluates a coordinated alumni program and communication system for the purpose of maintaining a positive linkage between the college and its alumni.

Continuing Medical Education

Develops, promotes, implements and evaluates a coordinated system of continuing medical education for the purpose of assisting practicing physicians and other licensed health care providers, when appropriate, to be optimally effective in their delivery of patient care.

Graphic Design and Photography

Graphic Design/Photography provides the visual identity for the College of Osteopathic Medicine and its units, faculty and staff. Through professional design and photography, the office enhances college publications, research posters, ads, exhibits and other media with imagery that is both attractive and functional.

Government Relations

Collaborates through partnership arrangements with community leadership groups to assist in community-wide initiatives. Develops, coordinates and implements long-range planning and short-range- objective setting related to the college's government relations programs.

Public Relations

Leads in the development and implementation of a communication/advocacy plan to enhance relationships and result in establishment and recognition of the college's leadership in patient care and medical education.
